| | nervous | ] | OK, so I've been asked to write an article basically detailing a selection of sex tips for men. I thought you lot could help me out by telling me what you'd advise blokes to do better/more of/less of/try out and tell me your lovely stories of brilliant or weird things some man has done in the sack.
Thanks girls :)

| Blemishes and Big Ugly Spots |
[Jul. 24th, 2008|12:05 pm] |
| [ | mood |
| | spotty | ] | I'm lucky enough to NEVER get spots or blemishes (I thank Lush products for that!), but after a weekend of too many takeaways and too much alcohol a GIANT spot erupted on my face. I managed to calm it down with tea tree oil and toothpatste and the giant lump has more or less vanished...
...however now I have a Huge Red Mark in place of the spot and its so red and so dry that my usual touche eclat and powder are not covering the mark up! Is there anything out there that can reduce redness? It's so disgusting!
Oh, and does anyone know where I can find a good cheap manicure set?
Thanks! |

| 'New Look' WISHLIST! |
[Jul. 24th, 2008|11:29 am] |
The good news about this wishlist is that I can look at the prices and half them because I work there and get an amazing discount. But then I probably wouldn't want any of this stuff if I didn't work there. ♥

| GHDs and adapter needs |
[Jul. 24th, 2008|11:01 am] |
|
I'm off to Ibiza on Saturday and due to my hair not being anything like Shipwrecked girls hair when au natural will be taking my GHD's with me.
I have the newest type, the one with the thick plug. Someone told me you can unscrew part of the plug and its has a two pronged things, so you can use them abroad, is that the case?
Last year when i took them away I tried to put them in a adpater but they wouldn't click in properly.
Help??
Oh and by the way, the hollywood wax I had the other day? Easily the most painful experience of my life. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I had to bite on a towel to stop swearing.

| Blazer |
[Jul. 24th, 2008|10:26 am] |
I know this sort of question is really tedious, but i need to know!
So i'm watching a Ralph Lauren blazer on Ebay. It's a US size 8 (UK 12). I know that RL clothes come up small in general, but as a UK 8/small 10, would a US 8 be huge on me? Or do you reckon it would be ok, due to RL's miniature sizing? Obviously i do not have a RL store or outlet anywhere near me where i can check, so if anyone with prior experience of their jackets could let me know, this would be a great help. Just want to know whether it's worth getting :) I don't want it to be super-tight anyway, so don't mind it being slightly too big. |

Does anyone here work for the police as an officer or is doing training or knows somebody who is?
I'm currently working as a health care assisstant in a busy A+E which caters to a huge area including Stansted airport, I'm doing my NVQ 3 and was planning on going to uni to study operating department practice upon completion. However the police is something that always has played on my mind for a good few years.
I've done a lot of research and would think I would enjoy it - I'm used to aggression, drunks, dead people, inside body bits on the outside, drug users, etc etc with my job and also my old job of working in a nightclub.
Not to mention the pay of £23k a year while TRAINING is more than I'll be earning when out of uni, then up to £27k a year including fantastic benefits, mainly free rail travel (I use the London tube and Stansted express frequently).
So just looking for a bit of advice/guidance/stories really!
PS. No 'the police are wankers' replies please, I know I know! |

| menu planning without a freezer/primary school teaching |
[Jul. 23rd, 2008|11:08 pm] |
I am trying to start menu planning so that I eat proper food and don't just live on sandwiches and quiche. However, I don't have a freezer and all the threads on moneysavingexpert.com and everywhere else seem to suggest that cooking in bulk and freezing portions is the way to go, but I can't do that and I am wary of leaving food in the fridge for a week or whatever.
Also, I know that a few of you are primary school teachers - I am interested in going into this as a career and I'd love to hear your experiences and how you got into it.
Thanks! |

| perfume |
[Jul. 23rd, 2008|10:43 pm] |
this may sound ridiculously vague, but a very long while ago someone asked about perfumes (yes, i know this could be almost any post). the site someone posted in the comments was a site which basically told you the style of the perfume, how long it lasted and similar perfumes to it.
am i making sense or does this sound completely mad?
could anyone guess the mystery link?!
thankyou :) x |

Who is your house insurance with? My boyfriend and I need to get some organised pronto but have absolutely no idea where to start. Any suggestions at all would be wonderful! It's a rented flat if that makes any difference to places to look.
thanks in advance! |

1. Does a "foundation darkener" actually exist or have I just made that up? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere! Something you add to your foundation to make it darker, I guess it'd be a dark liquid of some sort. I love my Estee Lauder foundation but I need it a bit darker for summer.. And there's no way I'm buying a new one! (Don't suggest bronzer please, I use that too but I still need my base darker.)
2. Best liquid eyeliner? Cheap, i.e. Something I can buy in Boots/Superdrug. Is Rimmel the good one or am I thinking of something else? I've already got gel eyeliner, but I'd rather use a liquid one now. |

| London in a Few Hours |
[Jul. 23rd, 2008|08:00 pm] |
Hello! I'm off to London tomorrow (I won tickets to see McFly with iTunes, woo hoo!) - I'm getting to Paddington for 3pm, and will leave on Friday at 12pm. My friend and I haven't been to London for ages, so we want some recommendations of things to do (that are v. cheap as well since I am far too poor, sob sob) We're staying at the Premier Inn at Euston, and the gig is in Koko on Camden High Street (begins at half 6, so want to be there around half 5?) so anywhere around there would be ace :) xxx |

Hello,
I'd like to buy Estée Lauder pleasures delight & was wondering if anyone knew of any reputable web sites I could buy it from that sell fragrances cheaper than on the high street.
Many thanks. |

| | Pretty fly for a white guy | ] |
I have a black coat that I wear in winter. (I know it's only July, I'm planning ahead!) and I'm looking for a brooch to liven it up a bit. I have one from Accessorize, but it's just crystal/silver, and I'd like something different. I' ve looked in shops and on various sites, but haven't really seen anything. Does anybody have any suggestions, jewellery websites, shops etc where I might get something. All of my local charity shops are useless by the way, so no point in even looking there.
TIA. |

Is anyone on here from the Lancashire area? I want to go somewhere in Lancashire with good charity shops yet I am not sure where! I live close to Southport but the charity shops there only sell Primark and George clothes for prices higher than their original RRP!
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated (: x |

What kind of "cream" colour would you use with this colour paint?

I haven't seen a "cream" colour I really like. Or what other colour would you put with it?
Also, how would you go about getting rid of a black wall? Someone suggested a primer, then paint another colour on top but would that work? |

| Two DS questions |
[Jul. 22nd, 2008|10:24 pm] |
Hopefully not too off-topic.
1. How the hell do you prevent your DS from getting super dirty? I have a pink lite one, and like, between the pink body and the transparent shell there's dirt trapped which I don't know how to remove.
2. Where can one find cute cases/covers that protect the screens? Preferably online. |
